Auberge Resorts Collection will assume the management of The Woodward, a prominent luxury hotel in Switzerland, starting February 1, 2025. The hotel, owned by The Bastion Collection, is known for its Michelin-star dining and luxurious suites.
The Woodward, located in Geneva, is a 26-suite hotel, most of which offer panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. The hotel’s design combines contemporary interiors with its historic 1901 Belle Époque façade. Facilities include two floors dedicated to wellness, centered around The Guerlain Spa, and several notable dining venues, including Geneva’s only Two Michelin-starred restaurant, L’Atelier Robuchon.
Auberge Resorts’ Chairman, Dan Friedkin, expressed enthusiasm about adding The Woodward to their European portfolio, appreciating its reputation as a top luxury destination in Geneva. Jamal Daniel, owner of The Bastion Collection, also expressed his excitement about the partnership, believing that Auberge’s reputation aligns well with The Woodward’s vision.
In addition to its luxury suites, The Woodward boasts an array of dining experiences. Alongside the two Michelin Star L’Atelier Robuchon and Le Jardinier, there is Bar 37, a piano lounge and cocktail venue, and an offsite café and patisserie, Le Comptoir Woodward.
The Woodward also prioritizes wellness, dedicating two floors to this purpose. The Guerlain Spa offers various treatments, including Geneva’s longest indoor swimming pool, a comprehensive fitness center, and extensive hydrotherapy areas.
This new management agreement is part of Auberge Resorts Collection’s ongoing European expansion. In March 2025, the brand will open Collegio alla Querce in Florence, followed by Cambridge House in Mayfair, London. These will join Auberge’s existing properties in France and Greece.
