Hilton has announced the opening of its first hotel in Paraguay, Palmaroga Hotel Asuncion, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. This marks Hilton’s 10th addition to the Tapestry Collection in the Caribbean and Latin America. The company plans to add 10 more hotels to this collection in the region over the next four years.
The Palmaroga Hotel Asuncion is located in a historic building dating back to 1901, which once served as the headquarters for the Superior Court of Justice. The recent renovation preserved its neoclassical architecture while adding modern amenities. The hotel features 107 rooms, including spacious two-floor and presidential suites. Guests can enjoy an interior courtyard, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool.
The hotel also offers a variety of dining options, including a café and a steakhouse that serves traditional Paraguayan dishes. It has business meetings or events facilities, including two boardrooms, a large conference room, and an expansive event room.
Centrally located in downtown Asuncion, the hotel is close to tourist attractions such as Palacio López, the National Pantheon of Heroes, and the Independence House. It is also conveniently located 19 kilometers from Silvio Pettirossi International Airport.
Hilton’s expansion in Paraguay is part of the company’s growth strategy in the Caribbean and Latin America. The company operates over 270 regional hotels and plans to open more in other countries and territories, including Bonaire, Dominica, St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guyana.
