Accor has announced a partnership with the Arab Development and Touristic Investment Company (ADTIC) to develop the Sofitel Legend Pyramids in Giza. The hotel will be located near the Grand Egyptian Museum in Egypt.
The new hotel project is part of Accor’s ambitious expansion strategy in North Africa. It aims to strengthen its presence in the region by offering luxury accommodations for both business and leisure travelers. The Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will be Egypt’s first Sofitel Legend property.
The hotel will feature 230 rooms and suites, three restaurants, a spa and wellness center, a swimming pool and meeting rooms. Most of its rooms and public areas will offer views of the pyramids.
This project is expected to significantly contribute to tourism in Egypt. Its close proximity to the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the world’s largest archaeological museums, makes it an attractive location for tourists visiting this landmark.
The partnership between Accor and ADTIC demonstrates their shared commitment to promoting tourism in Egypt. By bringing a world-class luxury accommodation option closer to one of Egypt’s most iconic tourist destinations, they aim to enhance visitors’ experiences while contributing positively to local economic development.
ADTIC is an established player in real estate development across various sectors, including tourism and hospitality. Their collaboration with Accor on this project aligns with their goal of investing in high-value projects that promote growth and development.
Meanwhile, Accor has been operating in Egypt for over 40 years with a portfolio of more than 55 hotels across nine distinct brands. This new venture further solidifies their position as leaders within the region’s hospitality industry.
The Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza is expected to open in 2022.
