Accor’s sustainable hotel brand, greet, has launched its first property in the Benelux region, specifically at Brussels Airport Zaventem. The hotel is less than five minutes from the airport, making it an ideal stop for travelers and city visitors.
Since its inception in 2019, greet has aimed to revolutionize the eco-hospitality industry by prioritizing sustainability and affordability. The brand prioritizes the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling in every aspect of the guest experience. This approach has led to the establishment of more than 35 properties across Europe in cities including Paris, Berlin, Vienna, and Beaune.
greet Brussels Airport Zaventem incorporates sustainability into its design and operations. Each of the hotel’s 68 rooms contains at least three upcycled items sourced from reputable second-hand businesses, emphasizing the brand’s environmental commitment. The hotel also collaborates with sustainable brands like Dizy and The Good Stuff Factory, who provide breakfast tables and upcycled chairs made from eco-friendly materials.
Florence Liger-Tourres, Vice President Marketing Economy brands Europe & North Africa at Accor, explained that greet embodies a positive and innovative approach to hospitality. She emphasized that the brand’s relevance and impact will only increase as it expands.
The hotel also embraces local culture, featuring murals by artists from Atelier Louves and a breakfast menu with local or regional products. Even the uniforms worn by hotel staff are sourced from the Belgian brand Stanley/Stella, known for its sustainable practices.
The hotel offers up to 50 parking spaces and a 24/7 reception. Guests can also enjoy a light snacking menu featuring local delicacies, complementing the extensive breakfast offerings. Standard double rooms at Greet Brussels Airport Zaventem start from €75, while larger super double rooms start at €80.
