Authorities in Lahore have dismantled an international human trafficking network, with Indian nationals found to be involved in the racket.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and intelligence agencies worked together to apprehend the group, which had been exploiting vulnerable individuals by promising overseas employment and defrauding them of millions of rupees.

The network specialised in creating counterfeit documents using a printing press, producing fake papers for various countries.

Investigations revealed that the group also assisted individuals seeking political asylum in different countries, and had connections with international smuggling rings.

During the investigation, a plot to defame Pakistan was uncovered, with Indian and Afghan nationals implicated in these criminal activities.

The group’s operations involved forging documents and scamming innocent citizens, promising them jobs abroad.

Several Indian and Afghan nationals were found to be deeply involved in the activities, which aimed to tarnish Pakistan’s reputation.
