Placemakr has entered the Alabama market with the launch of Placemakr Huntsville, a mixed-use project developed in collaboration with RCP Companies and Revolution Capital.
Placemakr announced the launch of Placemakr Huntsville, its first property in Alabama. The project is a partnership with local developers RCP Companies and capital partners Revolution Capital.
Placemakr Huntsville, now open for booking, is located within the $2.2 billion mixed-use Huntsville MidCity District. The property, housed in a newly constructed luxury apartment building, offers a variety of hotel-like services, including a la carte room cleanings, laundry and linen service, and discounted stays for friends and family.
The property includes 330 studio, studio plus, and one-bedroom units designed for multifamily living and short-term stays. The larger MidCity District, upon completion, will feature 1,865 residential units and 925 hotel rooms. The district is designed to combine culture, innovation, and entertainment in a walkable area, with attractions including the Orion Amphitheater, Trader Joe’s, and Top Golf among its approximately 600,000 square feet of restaurants and retail spaces, as well as a 40-acre public park.
Huntsville, also known as “Rocket City,” is home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center and Cummings Research Park, the second-largest research park in the U.S. The city’s arts districts, historical neighborhoods, and attractions include the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
The launch of Placemakr Huntsville follows recent property launches in San Antonio, Pittsburgh, Santa Clara, and more locations. As part of its ongoing expansion, Placemakr is also looking to fill several open roles within the company.
Further property openings are expected to be announced throughout 2025.
