Through this milestone, Axens further accelerates consolidating its capacity to serve its regional customers to meet regulatory requirements and maximize Sulphur Recovery by up to 99.9% and therefore minimizing SOx emission. Now operational, Axens’ ACAL Tail Gas Treatment Catalyst production site is supplying the region refining and gas industries with the latest generation of Axens’ Tail Gas Catalysis, that capable of operating at lower temperature than conventional catalysts and resulting in minimum energy consumption and minimum CAPEX.
Axens has expanded its ACAL site in Saudi Arabia, becoming the first in the Middle East to produce Tail Gas Treatment Catalysts.
This enables up to 99.9 per cent sulfur recovery and reduced SOx emissions, while boosting local content and energy efficiency.
The site now supplies advanced, low-temperature catalysts for the region’s refining and gas industries.
In combination with its Claus catalysts, Axens excels in efficiency and reliability, offering the most advanced solutions for sulfur recovery and emissions reduction ensuring high recovery rates, operational flexibility, and compliance with the most stringent environmental regulations.
