ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated both Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for getting elected respectively as the president and chairman of their respective parties–the PML-Q and the PPP–in intra-party polls.
In an official statement, the PM also facilitated Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Tariq Hassan, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, Dr Muhammad Amjad and Ghulam Mustafa Malik who were respectively elected as the senior vice president, general secretary, Punjab president, chief organizer and central secretary information of the PML-Q
He noted that the PML-Q is an important part of the ruling coalition, whose parties “sacrificed their politics for Pakistan’s economic stability and progress”.
The PM hoped that the PML-Q will continue to play its critical role as a party in the legislative assemblies for representing wishes of people and for the progress and development of the country.
In a separate message, Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on getting elected as the PPP chairman for another four years. He also felicitated Humayun Khan, Nadeem Afzal Chan and Amina Paracha for getting elected respectively as the party’s secretary general, secretary information and secretary finance.
