The Product is a synthetic silica powder characterised by its ultra-high purity and is employed as a raw material for quartz crucibles used in the production of semiconductor silicon, as well as high-purity quartz components essential for semiconductor fabrication equipment. The quartz crucible surface must maintain exceptional purity, particularly during the ingot manufacturing process, to minimise impurities that could compromise wafer quality.
The Product boasts high competitiveness in this application by achieving the world’s highest level of purity for sand-type silica using manufacturing technology cultivated over many years, the company said in a press release.
The company’s investment in expanding this capacity reflects the rising global demand driven by the electronics and semiconductor industries.
