On a monthly basis, CPI rose by 0.1 per cent in November compared with a fall of 0.2 per cent in the same month last year.
The UK CPI rose by 2.6 per cent in the 12 months to November, up from 2.3 per cent in the 12 months to October.

The clothing-footwear CPI rose by 2 per cent in the 12 months to November, up from 1 per cent in the 12 months to October.

Core CPI (excluding energy, food, alcohol and tobacco) rose by 3.5 per cent in the 12 months to November, up from 3.3 per cent in October.
The CPI goods annual rate rose from minus 0.3 per cent to 0.4 per cent, an ONS release said.
