The Commissioner Karachi Sports Festival concluded here late on Tuesday with exciting badminton and table tennis matches held.
Government National College Morning secured the top spot in the badminton boys’ event, while Government National College Evening was the runner-up.
In the table tennis category, PECHS Foundation emerged victorious, with National College (morning) finishing as the runner-up.
Additional Commissioner Karachi Syed Ghaznfar Ali Shah attended the event as chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners
He said that under the patronage of Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi, healthy recreational opportunities will continue to be provided to the youth of Karachi. Principal of Government National College, Dr. Professor Javed Ali Abbasi, AC Isa Khan, ACG Hazim Bhanguar and organising Secretary Ghulam Mohammad Khan were also present on the occasion.
HEC’s representative Javed Memon SOA’s representative Ahmed Ali Rajput also attended the meeting.
Ghulam Mohammad announced that a sports festival will be organized in various schools, very soon and its details will be announced later this week.
Meanwhile, a grand cultural show will be held on Thursday (today) at SSB Youth and Sports Club from 9:00 am to evening where the entry is free. APP
