Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:), which rose 2.36% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.46 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Renovaveis (ELI:) added 0.71% or 0.07 points to end at 9.88 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) was up 0.62% or 0.05 points to 8.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 1.35% or 0.04 points to trade at 2.78 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:) declined 1.32% or 0.23 points to end at 16.77 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 1.28% or 0.24 points to 18.52.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.99% or 0.74 to $73.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.61% or 1.15 to hit $70.14 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 5.56 to trade at $2,670.24 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 106.53.
