Today, Wynn Resorts provided an update on the progress of its newest resort, Wynn Al Marjan Island, located 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. This is the company’s first integrated resort in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Construction is proceeding according to schedule, with 55% of the structural concrete already completed. The concrete structure extends up to the 26th floor of the main resort tower, while the walls reach the 29th floor. The construction team is adding one floor per week, and the completion of the structure, also known as “topping off,” is expected to occur in December 2025.
Wynn Design and Development (WDD) oversees the project’s design and development. The team consists of over 90 architects, designers, and other professionals. The construction site currently hosts 9,100 team members and utilizes over 100 concrete trucks daily.
Once completed, the resort will offer 1,542 rooms and suites. So far, the tower structure for 1,121 guest rooms, or 73% of the total rooms, has been finished. About 820 rooms are being fitted out, including installing walls, floors, ceilings, and all necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services. The process of installing elevators and escalators has also commenced this month.
Wynn Al Marjan Island aims to usher in a new dimension of luxury in the region with a diverse range of experiences. The resort will host 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a nightclub with world-renowned DJs, and a beach club on its white sand beach on the Arabian Gulf. The resort also plans to feature an expansive poolscape with multiple pools, water features, private cabanas, and tropical landscaping covering 3.6 hectares.
Additionally, the resort will include a 15,000-square-meter shopping promenade with luxury boutiques, a five-star spa, a salon, and a 7,500-square-meter meetings and events center, complemented by a theater.
The project is a combined venture between Wynn Resorts, Marjan, and RAK Hospitality Holding. It is set to be the first integrated gaming resort in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.
