Choice Hotels International has grown its upscale segment with the opening of three Cambria Hotels and plans to break ground on two more this fall. The new properties are in Imperial, California; Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; and Spokane, Washington. The company also plans to break ground for new properties in O’Fallon, Missouri and Bend, Oregon. These additions are part of Choice’s strategy to bring the Cambria brand to more regions nationwide.
Over the past two years, Choice has introduced 18 new Cambria properties, including locations in downtown Denver, Rehoboth Beach in Delaware, and Niagara Falls, New York. This growth contributes to a pipeline of 62 hotels, including the much-anticipated Cambria New York Times Square, set to open in 2025.
Choice Hotels has recently made significant strides in growing its upscale portfolio. The company acquired the Radisson Americas Hotels Americas group in 2022 and has strategically repositioned its brands. The company’s latest earnings update highlighted record growth in its upscale segment.
Choice’s new Cambria Hotel locations include:
1. Cambria Hotel El Centro in Imperial, California, opened in September with 108 rooms and 2,050 sq. ft. of meeting space.
2. Cambria Hotel Pigeon Forge in Tennessee opened in October. It offers 118 rooms, 738 sq. ft. of meeting space, and proximity to popular local attractions.
3. Cambria Hotel Spokane Airport in Washington opened in September. It boasts 91 rooms, 1,020 sq. ft. of meeting space, and a convenient location near key attractions and the Spokane International Airport.
In the pipeline are the Cambria Hotel Bend, Oregon, close to Oregon State University and expected to open in 2026, and the Cambria Hotel O’Fallon, Missouri, the first Cambria Hotel in Missouri, also planned for a 2026 opening.
The new and upcoming Cambria Hotels and Choice’s other upscale and upper upscale hotel brands participate in the Choice Privileges rewards program. Starting in 2025, the program will introduce new features to give members more value and opportunities to use their points.
