Haiti to replace prime minister as security crisis mounts By Reuters

PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) -Haiti will name Alix Didier Fils-Aime to replace its prime minister, Garry Conille, who was appointed to the role in May, according to a draft resolution by the Caribbean nation’s transitional presidential council, seen by Reuters.

The council will name Didier Fils-Aime, an entrepreneur, as prime minister, said the resolution, dated Monday (NASDAQ:), Nov. 11.

The resolution is expected to be published in the official gazette.

Haiti’s transition council in May tapped Conille, who also briefly led the country over a decade ago, to return to the role of prime minister as the Caribbean nation works to restore stability and take back control from violent gangs.
