Mercure has opened its first hotel in Bulgaria, Mercure Sofia City. The hotel is in the Manastirski Livadi district, providing easy access to the National Museum of History and Vitosha National Park.
Founded in 1973, Mercure has a global presence with over 1,000 hotels worldwide. Its “Discover Local” program is designed to provide guests with a unique, locally-inspired atmosphere.
Mercure Sofia City is located at the base of the Vitosha Mountain, providing guests with close access to the national park, ski slopes, hiking trails and attractions such as the Boyana Church and the National Museum. The hotel features 111 modern rooms with mountains and city skyline views. Its design elements pay tribute to Sofia’s history and cultural traditions.
Evgeniy Krivenok, General Manager of Mercure Sofia City, expressed his excitement about the new hotel, stating that it combines quality services with Sofia’s rich culture and traditions.
Mercure Sofia City offers various dining options, including the lobby bar and the Winter Garden bistro, serving a wide selection of traditional beverages and spirits throughout the day. Its restaurant, Festa, offers a blend of Bulgarian specialties and international dishes. Wine enthusiasts can also explore local labels in the hotel’s wine shop.
The hotel also features a modern fitness centre, sauna, and salt room, offering a variety of beauty treatments. A comfortable co-working space and five spacious private meeting rooms are available for business travelers. The hotel also offers on-site parking and charging stations for electric vehicles.
