Chinese company to invest $5.85 mn in Bangladesh’s AEPZ



Chinese company Jidalai will invest $5.85 million to set up a manufacturing industry of zipper pullers in Adamjee Export Processing Zone (AEPZ). This Chinese company will produce 70 million pieces of zipper pullers annually, where 189 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunities. Jidalai is a strategic business partner of zipper brand YKK.

Bangladesh Export Processing Zone (BEPZA) signed an agreement with Jidalai on October 16, 2024, at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka. Ashraful Kabir, member (investment promotion) of BEPZA, and Hsu Hsueh-Min, managing director of Jidalai, represented their organisations. The signing ceremony was witnessed by major general Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, executive chairman of BEPZA.

Chinese company Jidalai will invest $5.85 million to establish a zipper puller manufacturing facility in AEPZ, producing 70 million pieces annually and creating 189 jobs.
An agreement was signed on October 16, at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka.
BEPZA’s executive chairman expressed gratitude for Jidalai’s investment and assured support for smooth operations.

The BEPZA executive chairman expressed gratitude to Jidalai for selecting BEPZA as their investment destination. He highlighted BEPZA’s success in attracting investment over the past 44 years by offering comprehensive services to investors. He assured Jidalai of full support to ensure their business operations run smoothly, BEPZA said in a press release.
