Destination by Hyatt Expands with the Addition of Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the addition of Cheyenne Mountain Resort to its Destination by Hyatt brand, enhancing its collection of unique hotels and providing guests with an array of immersive experiences in Colorado Springs.

Located within the Rocky Mountains, Cheyenne Mountain Resort boasts 316 guestrooms and suites and offers a variety of experiences for adventurers, nature enthusiasts, those seeking relaxation, and business travelers. The resort is situated near downtown Colorado Springs and Colorado Springs Airport.

Katie Johnson, Vice President, Global Brand Leader for Hyatt’s Independent Collection brands, stated that including Cheyenne Mountain Resort aligns with Hyatt’s goal to expand the Destination by Hyatt brand with hotels that capture the unique essence of their locations.

Cheyenne Mountain Resort, set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains and a 35-acre lake, provides guests with numerous year-round activities. These include hiking trails with views of Pikes Peak, lakeside relaxation, kayaking in Curr Reservoir, and visits to the Garden of the Gods, a renowned natural landmark.

Jess Johnson, Director of Sales and Marketing, Cheyenne Mountain Resort, expressed excitement at joining the Destination by Hyatt brand, highlighting the resort’s commitment to personalized service and memorable experiences rooted in the local atmosphere.

The resort features 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including 316 guestrooms and suites, many with private balconies offering mountain or lake views. Recreational facilities include five swimming pools, 16 tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, and an 18-hole golf course. A 9,000-square-foot fitness center, volleyball, and basketball courts, and the Alluvia Spa and Wellness Retreat add to the wellness and recreation offerings. 

The resort also caters to corporate events, with 40,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, including 38 meeting rooms and outdoor venues. Dining options, led by Executive Chef James Wilson, range from the Mountain View Restaurant for breakfast to the Elevations Lounge for evening relaxation. All dining experiences aim to capture Colorado Springs’ rich flavors and welcoming spirit.
